    FIG opened its doors in April 2017 as a stand-alone retail store, expanding
    online a few years later to reach its growing customer base and shipping
    worldwide.

    Our Founder and Creative Director

      FIG was founded by Hiruki Wickramasinghe, a graduate with a Bachelor’s
      degree in Fashion and Textile Retailing from The University of Manchester.
      She gathered valuable work experience with significant fashion retailers in
      Manchester before returning to Sri Lanka and working for a leading retailer.
      Whilst here, she spent years analyzing the market as a fashion buyer before
      venturing out on her own.

      What started out as a passion project with a laptop and a few samples from
      her bedroom has now grown into a reputable ladieswear fashion brand. With
      a vision for the future, Hiruki spearheads the design and purchasing process
      with the help of her multi-faceted team, offering young women a variety of
      collections that are locally manufactured.

      “We are focused on creating pieces for the next generation of young women.
      Our garments are timeless, chic and bold with a strong feminine influence. We
      want our customers to feel confident and stylish in the most effortless way
      possible”.
